Scuba Diving in the British Virgin Islands

From May 21 until June 3 I joined my brother Tim and several of his friends on his boat, Sailvation, in the British Virgin Islands. Sailvation is a 47 foot Catamaran, nicely set up for scuba diving. Here I am at the wreck of the Rhone http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMS_Rhone near Salt Island on Wednesday, May 29, 2011.

Jim took this photo of me and one of Tim's friends at about 30 feet. The vertical "colonnades" once supported deck boards. In the wreck they are vertical and the deck has rotted away.

Underwater scenes of the 1977 movie, The Deep, were shot here. (Despite the fact that the movie was set in Burmuda.)

Here is another photo of me on the same dive.

Moray eel at George Dog Island, Tuesday, May 31. Photo by my dive buddy Jim Cox. I spotted this little guy slithering around on the bottom. He was about three feet long and one inch in diameter. He slithered into a hole when I called Jim over to take a picture, but later stuck his head out to check on us and Jim got this photo.
